With the effects of the financial crisis still felt around the world, how can financial institutions implement effective governance to avoid a replay?
A coherent reply to this critical question came in 2012 from the Group of 30 via their report entitled “Toward effective governance of financial institutions.” The report offers concrete insights and recommendations for governing financial institutions. It has become a seminal reference point for financial institution board leaders, executives, and supervisors.
To produce the report, Tapestry Networks and EY organized and conducted more than 80 interviews with board leaders and senior regulators in 16 countries on six continents. Thirty-six of the world’s largest financial institutions participated. Tapestry worked with the Group of 30 to develop the resulting insights and recommendations and to draft the report.
