Executive experience: Werner is the former chief financial officer of SAP and was a member of the executive board of SAP, where he was responsible for all corporate financial activities as well as administration of the company. Prior to joining SAP in 21, he was a member of the executive board and chief financial officer of the German-American healthcare company, Fresenius Medical Care, where he also served as labor relations director. From 1992 to 1999, Werner was a member of the management board of Baxter Deutschland and vice president for European operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for Baxter’s financial operations in Europe. Werner began his career at the former Price Waterhouse in Stuttgart.

Additional information: Werner is a trustee of the IFRS Foundation. Werner completed his doctorate in business administration from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 1991, after studying business administration at the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen, Germany, from 1976 to 1981.
