Trevor Matthews

Trevor Matthews, an actuary with more than 4 years’ experience in financial services and one of the architects of Australia’s life insurance “margin on services” accounting methodology, has expertise in life insurance, general insurance, wealth management, banking, investment management and risk. He has held life and general insurance chief executive roles in Australia, North America, Asia, and Europe and is currently chair of a non-life regulator and a non-executive board member of two life insurers. He was president of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, and president of both the Chartered Insurance Institute and the financial services skills council in the UK. He has a master of actuarial studies from Macquarie University.
