Steve Wanner

As the EY US East Region vice chair, Steve Wanner serves as a member of the EY US Executive Committee as well as the Americas operating executive. In this role, he leads more than 14,000 professionals across all business units in 20 office locations, accounting for more than $7 billion in revenue from a portfolio of 6,000+ clients. By leading with an innovative, markets focused mindset, Steve accelerates the Region’s focus on quality, growth and profitability. He is known for his inclusive leadership and striving to create a culture of belonging among EY teams. For more than 30 years, Steve has guided premier global organizations through complex challenges, from accounting and regulatory matters to optimizing business functions. A versatile leader, he brings a unique one firm perspective developed over decades of advising both Assurance and Consulting clients across sectors, specializing in Financial Services, Energy, and Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility. Throughout his career, Steve has served in a variety of internal leadership roles including assurance practice leadership, firm committees and large scale talent innovation and strategy projects. Steve believes passionately in creating a world where diverse perspectives and experiences are highly valued. A fierce advocate for children in foster care, Steve was the founding chair for a high school serving at risk youth in Philadelphia and currently sits on the boards of several organizations focused on equity.
