Sheila Hooda is an independent director and committee chair. She is a transformation leader and a qualified financial expert with a breadth of global business, finance, risk, and technology expertise. Sheila is the chief executive officer of Alpha Advisory Partners and a former C-level operating executive with over 30 years of expertise recognized for leading complex customer-centric and digital transformations, driving growth and M&A, and providing strategic direction at global Fortune 500 and S&P 500 firms.

Sheila currently serves on the boards of Enact Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACT) where she chairs the nominating and governance committee and the board of private equity backed Alera Group, Inc. More recently she served on the boards of ScION Tech Growth I and II (SCOB, SCOB) Special Acquisition Program where she chaired the audit committees and Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company where she chaired the risk committee. Previously she served on the boards of ProSight Global (PROS) and Virtus Investment Partners (VRTS).

Sheila’s former senior executive leadership positions include TIAA, Credit Suisse Investment Bank, Thomson Reuters, and Bankers Trust across the United States, Europe, and Asia. She started her career in the United States with McKinsey & Co.

Sheila is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is a board leadership fellow with director certification credentials from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

A published thought leader and speaker on governance, global business strategy and leadership, Sheila’s recognitions include being named to the “NACD 50” that honors the most influential individuals in corporate governance and the board room, Women’s Inc. magazine “Most Influential Directors,” Directors & Boards magazine “Directors to Watch,” Board Prospects “100 Asian American Directors making a Difference,” and the inaugural Agenda/Financial Times “Diversity100.”

Sheila was among the pioneers and early proponents of the value of human capital, talent development, leadership, and diversity & inclusion and has initiated and lead impactful programs at Credit Suisse Investment Bank and TIAA. She also serves on several nonprofit boards focused on education, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

Sheila has a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is an alumna from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Sheila holds additional certifications in the oversight of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, ESG, and climate leadership.
