Executive experience: Sarah Russell is an experienced business leader with a career spanning over 3 years in the financial services sector. Sarah was CEO of Aegon Asset Management and a member of the management board of Aegon. Before joining Aegon, she built a 14-year career at ABN AMRO Bank, culminating in her appointment as senior executive vice president and CEO of ABN AMRO Asset Management. At ABN AMRO Bank she also served as managing director and CFO of the wholesale clients business unit, global head of financial markets research and financial markets infrastructure support, business manager to senior executive vice president of global financial markets, and other financial markets roles in the Netherlands and Australia. Her earlier career was spent at Toronto Dominion Australia.
Additional information: Sarah is an Australian citizen residing in the Netherlands. She holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
