Sara Martinez Tucker

Sara Martinez Tucker is former chair of the University of Texas System Board of Regents where she was tasked with steering the governing body of the UT System and overseeing each of its 14 institutions. She previously served as CEO of the National Math + Science Initiative – an organization focused on improving student performance in science, technology, engineering and math. Additionally, from 26-28, she served as undersecretary for the US Department of Education, and was CEO and president of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund from 1997-26.
She was elected to the Nationwide board in 218.
Other directorships include American Electric Power, Service Corporation International, Sprint and the University of Notre Dame Board of Trustees.
