Culture + Social Impact Executive Lead


At the Executive level of AtkinsRéalis, Rukiya leads Culture and Social Impact across the United States, driving a strategic plan aimed at fostering equal and equitable communities, diverse business, and inclusive culture in support of the company purpose to engineer a better future for our planet and its people. Joining AtkinsRéalis in 2018 as Vice President of Regional Business Development & Strategy for Georgia, she leveraged 22 years of experience to fortify client relationships and enhance market presence in the greater Atlanta, Geogia community. Rukiya currently serves as the President of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Atlanta Chapter. Her work in the industry has been acknowledged by the American Public Transportation Association, the Urban Land Institute, Leadership Georgia and the Atlanta Business Chronical to name a few. Additionally, Rukiya also serves as Chair of the AtkinsRéalis Foundation since 2022 where funding a STEM education from K-12 to college students is the mission. Rukiya is most proud to be Mommy-in-Chief to 6-year-old Elle Victoria Thomas.
