Executive experience: Ron served as chief executive officer of Aaron’s from February 212 until his retirement in August 214. Ron also served as president of Aaron’s from February 212 to April 214. Ron served as interim president and chief executive officer of Aaron’s from November 211 to February 212. Ron retired as the chair of the board, president and chief executive officer of Delta Air Lines, one of the world’s largest global airlines, in July 1997. 

From July 1997 through July 25, Ron was a consultant to and advisory director of Delta Air Lines. He previously served as a director of Guided Therapeutics from 28 to January 214 and Forward Air from 211 to 213. 

Additional information: Ron is a trustee emeritus of the Georgia Tech Foundation. Ron has held several civic and philanthropic leadership roles, including as president of The Wings Club Foundation, director of the American Cardiovascular Research Institute, director of the Atlanta Commerce Club, and director of the Carter Center.
