Executive Experience:  Rick retired as EVP & CFO of Sabre Corporation in July 218 and now serves as advisor to the CEO. He joined Sabre in March 213 to lead the company back to the public markets in April 214. Sabre was jointly owned by TPG and Silver Lake Partners before the IPO.

Before joining Sabre, Rick served as CFO and business operations executive at Rearden Commerce, a venture backed travel technology company. He spent nearly a decade with Nokia Corporation in global roles, based in locations around the world. He was Nokia’s executive vice president and chief financial officer for 6 years followed by EVP and general manager of Nokia’s mobile phones unit.

Rick spent 16 years in his early career as a global corporate and investment banker, including time with Barclays Capital as managing director in the telecom and media investment banking group. As a banker, he spent most of his time with Bank of America Securities in the global corporate and investment banking group. He held various positions in structured finance capital raising and advisory, culminating as managing director of global project finance.

Additional information: Rick also acts as an independent advisor to private equity and venture capital firms focused on portfolio companies that are near to mid-term from an IPO or sale. Rick most recently joined the board of directors of Cast & Crew, a Silver Lake Partners company, in September 218 as an independent director and will chair the audit committee.

Rick graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a BS in mining engineering and holds an MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Rick is a trustee of the board of The Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University.
