Executive Experience: Mike retired as an audit partner from Ernst & Young (EY) in 214 where he had spent most of his career serving large global companies. Prior to his retirement, Mike spent 4 years serving clients primarily in the Telecommunications and media industries. Mike’s most recent clients prior to retirement included AT&T and iHeart Media (formerly Clear Channel Communications).

In both his board roles and prior audit partner experience Mike has provided advice and assistance on wide ranging matters dealing with corporate governance, financial and corporate structuring, and technical accounting matters. From June 22 and until mid-24 Mike led the EY’s Communications Advisory Services (CAS) group which focused on providing advisory services to companies in the communications industry. The three primary areas of focus related to regulatory, operational improvement, and business analytics.

Prior to joining EY in mid-22, Mike was a partner with the Chicago office of Arthur Andersen where he had 28 years experience in providing audit, finance, and specialized project services to clients in the energy, governmental, and telecommunications sectors.

Additional information: Mike earned his BA (Finance ‘72) and MBA (‘74) from Miami University (Ohio). Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a retired CPA in several states including Texas, New Jersey, and Georgia. Mike has also served on numerous Not for Profit boards throughout his career including The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Chicago, IL and San Antonio, TX, SAMMinistries (providing shelter for the homeless), and San Antonio Sports Foundation. Mike and his wife Fran have two children, Liz and Joe. Mike enjoys golf, cycling, skiing, and motorcycling.
