Michelle Caturay

Michelle Caturay is senior vice president, associate general counsel, corporate secretary and chief privacy officer at CIBC.  She works with CIBC’s board of directors on a variety of governance matters, oversees CIBC’s privacy and ombudsman teams, and advises on securities laws affecting governance, public disclosure and securities issuance.  Michelle has a bachelor of arts degree from Western University and a bachelor of laws degree from Queens University.  She was called to the Canadian bar in 1988, worked in private practice, and joined CIBC in 1998.  Michelle is a member of the corporate governance specialist committee of the Canadian Bankers’ Association.
