Michael McGarry

Michael McGarry is responsible for WBA’s global governance and risk program, including enterprise risk management (ERM), global policies, and IT policy and compliance. Michael is responsible for the design and implementation of the global ERM program across the company, including the process for risk identification, assessment, management, and reporting for over 25 businesses and functions around the world. 

Prior to joining WBA, Michael spent two years at Grainger establishing its ERM program. In addition, Michael spent many years in consulting and public accounting designing and implementing ERM programs, performing risk assessments, developing executive, and board risk reporting for many large organizations, focusing on non-financial institutions. 

Michael is an Australian chartered accountant. He is a former member of the RIMS Strategic Risk Management Council and a leader of the Midwest Enterprise Risk Management Industry Group.
