Junaid Ahmed

Junaid serves as corporate vice president, finance and fhief of staff to CFO at Applied Materials. In this role he has responsibility for finance strategy, communications, and transformation. He established and leads the agile finance initiative covering end to end transformation of the finance organization. In addition, Junaid also has executive finance responsibility for the IPC business segment and corporate treasury.

Junaid has more than 2 years of global semiconductor industry experience, most recently at NXP Semiconductors, were he was senior vice president for finance and corporate pricing. Prior to NXP, Junaid held senior finance roles at Freescale Semiconductor, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and various operating roles at Lam Research. He also has experience in investment management/research from his time at Mubadala Technology (Sovereign Private Equity Fund) and Citi Equity Research.

Junaid holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, as well as BS chemical engineering and BA economics degrees from the University of Rochester, NY.
