Executive experience: Julie joined GSK on 3 April 2023 and was appointed to the Board as Chief Financial Officer on 1 May 2023. She joined GSK from Burberry, where she was the Chief Operating and Financial Officer for six years. Prior to that, Julie was the CFO at Smith & Nephew plc for four years and previously spent 25 years at Astra Zeneca in a number of senior Finance roles, operating across 4 countries and on 3 continents, ultimately becoming the Interim Group CFO.

In addition to her CFO role at GSK Julie is a non-executive director and Audit Chair at Diageo plc. She also sits on the Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board and is a member of the 100Group Main Committee, as well as being a member of the Accounting for Sustainability’s CFO Leadership Network, a Patron of Oxford University Women in Business and an Ambassador for the King’s Trust Women Supporting Women Initiative.

Additional information: Julie received a First Class Honours from Warwick University and initially qualified as an accountant with KPMG.
