Executive experience: John was Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce from 211 until July 215 when he retired. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of Ahold, a Dutch supermarket company where he worked from 26 until 211. Before this he worked for British Airways for 11 years and was CFO from 21 until 25. John started his executive career at Ford Motor Company where he worked for 16 years in the Finance Department.

Additional information: John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has an Economics Degree from Nottingham University. He is married with three children.
