Janet Woodruff

Executive Experience: Janet is an experienced audit committee, human resources committee, environment, health and safety committee, and governance committee member. She currently chairs the audit committee for Altus Group and Capstone Infrastructure and chairs the people, corporate governance, and compensation committee of Ballard Power. Janet previously served on the boards of the Transportation Investment Corporation, Nordion Inc., Pacific Northern Gas and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada, in addition to, other non-profit and association boards.

Janet has over 30 years of experience in the energy, transportation and health sectors, including as acting chief executive officer of Transportation Investment Corporation. Previously, Janet held senior executive roles at B.C. Hydro, B.C. Transmission Corporation, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Westcoast Energy.

Additional information: Janet holds the ICD.D designation and is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant of British Columbia. She is a member of the executive committee of ICD’s BC Chapter, an NACD member, and a former member of CPA Canada’s Directors Advisory Group. Janet is a past mentor in Catalyst’s Women on Board program. She earned an honours bachelor of science from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from York University.
