Ingrid Stafford

Executive Experience: Ingrid S. Stafford recently retired as Northwestern University’s vice president for financial operations and treasurer, a position she had held since 214, having been associate vice president since 26. Ingrid joined Northwestern University in 1977 as assistant to the senior vice president for business and finance and has held several positions, including controller, working with four University presidents over the period.

Additional information: Ingrid is a trustee of the Evanston Alternative Opportunities Fund, with $6M AUM, a registered hedge fund of funds, with Evanston Capital Management serving as investment advisor. She is chair of the audit committee, and member of the fund valuation committee.

She has been an active volunteer and leader in her local community, her undergraduate college Wittenberg University, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). In 213, she was elected to serve as a member of the national governing board of the ELCA, and is a member of its finance committee and chair of its audit committee. She was the first woman board chair of Wittenberg University from 21–25.  

Ingrid has been an active participant in continuing education initiatives for higher education trustees through the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), and for bank directors. She has presented at AGB forums, as well as at national bank director conferences sponsored by Bank Director, Inc. She is a panelist at Institutional Investor conferences on pension management.            

Ingrid received a BA in economics and political science from Wittenberg University, a MA degree in economics from the University of Michigan, and a MM degree in finance and not-for-profit management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago.
