Hildur Eir Jónsdóttir
Deputy Assurance Managing Partner, Europe West
EY
Hildur has been the Managing Partner of the Assurance practice at EY since 2018. This business line comprises over 1,900 professionals across 15 offices, dedicated to Audit, Capital Markets, Forensic, Financial Advisory, and Sustainability activities, among others. Additionally, she serves as the Vice Chair of Assurance for the Europe West region, which includes 25 countries and approximately 12,000 professionals. She is a member of the Executive Committee of EY Spain.
Hildur is also a member of the Permanent Advisory Committee of Deusto Business School. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Spanish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Spain (ICJCE), the Register of Accounting Experts, and the Official Register of Auditors (ROAC). Previously, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Women Forum (IWF). Hildur holds a degree in Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
She has over 28 years of professional experience in providing audit and advisory services to local and international clients, primarily in the aviation, consumer, telecommunications, and technology sectors. She is an expert in local accounting regulations, IFRS, and US GAAP. Hildur has held various leadership positions at EY, including directing the IFRS Desk for Spain and Portugal from 2011 to 2018, and serving as the partner responsible for risk and independence in the Mediterranean region from 2014 to 2017.
She has been a speaker at seminars organized by institutions such as the Instituto de Empresa, Institute for International Research (IIR), Institute of Fiscal Studies, Institute of Internal Auditors, Institute of Chartered Accountants, and San Pablo CEU University. Additionally, she was the Managing Partner of Assurance at EY in the Mediterranean region.
