Fiona Walter

Professor Fiona Walter has been appointed as the new Director of the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, from the University of Cambridge where she was Reader in Primary Care Cancer Research. She continues to co-lead the international CanTest Collaborative and other national and international cancer detection initiatives. Professor Walter also holds leadership roles at CRUK’s Early Detection and Diagnosis Committee. Her research focuses on primary care and the cancer pathway, including awareness, screening, detection and diagnosis, living with and beyond cancer, and global health.
