Eric Elzvik

Executive Experience: In January 1987, Erik moved to Singapore in the role of regional controller and treasurer for ABB South East Asia. After transferring back to the headquarters in Switzerland at the end of 1989, he assumed the role as the assistant to the CEO. From 1993 to 1997, Eric held the role as head of corporate development and the president’s office, during a period of strategic portfolio changes in the group, including the JV and later sale of its rail transportation segment. In 1998, Eric was appointed head of group global process, running an early effort to create shared services in core processes of ABB. From 2001, he was the head of mergers & acquisitions and new ventures and as part of this role lead the large divestiture program during the period of crises at ABB (2002 to 2004). In 2006, he then became division CFO of automation products division and in 2010 he transferred to the role as division CFO of the discrete automation and motion division, a role he held until end of 2012. From early 2013 until end of March 2017, Eric was the group CFO of the ABB Group. Eric serves as an industrial advisor to private equity and serves on portfolio company boards.

Additional information: Eric is a board member of the CFO Circle in Switzerland. From 2013 to 2017, he served on the board of the Swiss Swedish Chamber of Commerce and on the foundation board of IMD in Lausanne.
