Executive experience: David served as CFO of three public companies over an eleven year period. These included: CFO of Moderna (22-222). Taking the company from a pre-commercial stage, to a $2 billion annual revenue enterprise, with the successful launch of its COVID vaccine. The company built its global commercial, financial, and manufacturing capability, which allowed it to contribute to controlling a global pandemic. CFO of Amgen (214-219) the largest global independent bio-technology company. CFO & CAO of 3M (28-214), a global multi-sector industrial firm. David worked for General Motors (1986-28) in a series of finance positions including, most recently, as CFO of North America. Prior positions included the most senior finance roles in GM Europe, GM Daewoo in South Korea, GM Brazil, and GM Kenya. David began his career at AT&T Corporation as a product design engineer.

Additional information: David is a vice-chairperson of the board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where he chairs the finance committee. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University, a master of science in economics from the London School of Economics, and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. David is a US and Swiss citizen.
