David Hunker

David Hunker is a principal and is the head of EY’s shareholder activism defense practice, advising public companies on preparing for and responding to shareholder activism. EY focuses on assisting companies in identifying potential strategic, operational, valuation, capital structure, and ESG vulnerabilities to shareholder activism and developing alternatives for management teams and boards to proactively address those items and engage constructively with all shareholders. 

Prior to joining EY, David spent 17 years as an investment banker, leading J.P. Morgan’s Global shareholder activism defense practice for 9 years.
