Dan Dickinson

Executive experience: Dan is a co-founder and managing partner of HCI Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm managing over $1B in equity commitments. Prior to joining HCI Equity, Dan was the co-head of global M&A at Merrill Lynch. He also had roles as head of European M&A and head of global manufacturing and services M&A at Merrill Lynch. He started his career at The First Boston Corporation. 

Dan is the board chair at several HCI portfolio companies, and previously chaired the compensation committees of two public company boards. He also serves on the executive committee of the board of directors of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.

Additional information: Dan was recently the chair of the board of visitors for the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, as well as president of the board of trustees of the Cove School (a K-12 school special education school). Dan has both a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and materials science from Duke University.
