Executive Experience:  Brian A. Hudson, Sr. is the executive director and chief executive officer of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA). Formerly the Agency’s deputy executive director and chief financial officer, Brian took over the PHFA leadership on July 1, 23.

Brian’s major responsibilities involve developing and implementing program initiatives for the approximately $5 billion asset Agency, as well as providing guidance for the board.

PHFA is the Commonwealth’s leading provider of capital for affordable homes and apartments and is one of the largest housing agencies in United States. Since its creation in 1972, PHFA has generated more than $13 billion of funding for more than 167, single family mortgage loans and 133, rental units and has saved the homes of nearly 49, families from foreclosure. 

Additional information: Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University, is a certified public accountant and a certified treasury professional. He is chair of the Commonwealth Cornerstone Group, a board member of the Community Development Trust, a member of the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center board of directors and past president and current board member of the National Council of State Housing Agencies. He is the former audit chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh and a former member of the consumer advisory council of the Federal Reserve Board.
