Bill C. Van Faasen

Bill Van Faasen served as CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc. (BCBSMA), a health care services provider, from 1992 until his retirement in 27. He is chair emeritus of BCBSMA and served as their interim CEO in 21.

Bill has served as a trustee of Eversource Energy since 212 and as lead trustee since 22. Bill also chairs Eversource’s compensation committee. Since 22, Bill has been on the board of Liberty Mutual Holding Company, Inc. (policyholder owned) and has been lead director since April 212. Bill currently is the interim CEO of Acreage Holdings and the chair of their audit committee.

Previously, Bill served as a director of IMS Health, Inc. from 1996 to 21 and as lead director from 26 to 21. He also served as a director of PolyMedica Corporation from 25 to 28 and served as a trustee of NSTAR from 22 until NSTAR’s merger with the Company in 212. He is an honorary director of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a director of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.

Bill received a B.A. degree from Hope College and an M.B.A. degree from Michigan State University.
