Ann transitioned from executive management to full-time board service in 1998. She was a calm hand during Allied Capital’s process of selling the company, leveraging her previous extensive M&A experience.

Working as an executive in the airline, real estate and commercial mortgage banking industries, Ann has honed skills in strategic planning, corporate finance, M&A, banking, investor relations, tax, insurance, pension management, financial controls and risk.  In her roles as CFO and Treasurer at NHP Inc., she took the company public through a $56M IPO, grew the company organically as well as through a strategic acquisition and negotiated the sale of the company to a REIT in 1999. In her time at US Airways and American Airlines, she gained technical expertise to execute complex and critical corporate finance functions.

Additional information: Ann has excelled in contributing to multiple companies and learning new industries. She is analytical, a quick thinker and curious: she is independent and has earned the trust and confidence of others. Board- and self-assessments are important to her and she is always trying to improve her contributions to the boards she serves through continuing education.

Ann received her MBA in finance and economics in 1983 from Cornell University and her BBA in accountancy in 1979 from the University of Notre Dame. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and enjoys horseback riding, bicycling, and hiking.
