Healthcare
Healthcare networks produced by Tapestry Networks currently include:
European Healthcare Innovation Leadership Network
The European Healthcare Innovation Leadership Network (“the Network”) was established by Tapestry Networks in 2006 with the support of GlaxoSmithKline and Andrew Witty. GSK, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson now support and fund this independently-led initiative. The Network brings together a premier group of healthcare leaders from EU Member States who are committed to addressing the complementary goals of improving patient health outcomes as well as the climate for innovation within the constraints of pressures to control healthcare costs. EU Member States represented include the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Please see attached list of Network members
Disease-specific Working Groups
Network members recognise that moving the value discussion from the realm of abstraction to tangible, practical outcomes require a disease-specific focus. Network members and Tapestry Networks convened type 2 diabetes and breast cancer Working Groups consisting of leading medical experts, regulators, payers, reimbursement authorities, patients and industry representatives to develop disease-specific frameworks of value for each of these two disease areas. The Working Groups’ programme comprised three meetings in 2009, complemented by individual and group consultations between meetings. Working together over the course of 2009, Working Group participants have established a shared value framework for evaluating new medicines that is supported by increased transparency and collaboration amongst all stakeholders throughout the drug development process. The following documents summarise the Breast Cancer and Type 2 Diabetes Working Groups' recommendations.
Tapestry Networks has adopted principles and guidelines for public-private networks which support the legal and ethical responsibilities of its sponsors and members: Public-Private Principles
