"Finance leadership requires strong technical skills as well as business judgement, or what I call the 'merchant gene.'" That’s how one CFO described the nexus of finance knowledge, organizational leadership, and business acumen where today’s global CFOs operate every day. The challenges are many, while the leaders equipped to handle them are few. To support CFOs from Europe’s leading companies, Tapestry has recently launched a network that provides a candid forum dedicated to strengthening their leadership and their impact on strategy, policy, and performance. In peer discussions and engagement with policymakers, investors, and guests, CFOs from some of the world’s leading companies will engage with topics at the leading edge of finance, corporate strategy, and public policy. Tapestry will convene and chair the meetings of the European Finance Leadership Network (EFLN).
Even before its first meeting, network membership was almost fully subscribed. This is a strong testament to leading CFOs’ desire to learn from peers and to provide critical input into European policymaking. The network will meet two to three times per year to address the strategic finance leadership in global firms. EFLN is supported by EY as part of their ongoing commitment to the future of finance leadership and EY leaders participate in the network.
